Carpet Cleaning Machinery Manufacturer and Importer with optional three acre business park

The core business imports and retails specialist heavy duty carpet cleaning equipment that it retails to contractors and sole operators working in the cleaning sector. It also supplies a full range of hand held tools and accessories plus the prerequisite cleaning fluids essential to carry out the work.

It has also designed its own machinery that is built on site. This has necessitated the acquisition of specialist laser cutting machinery and lately the company has also bought a CNC water cutter capable of handling materials up to eight inches thick . This has in turn brought in new additional revenue streams from a broad range of customers from contractors to the tourist industry

Hi Guys,

Well, there are only two CC supply companies in Corwall that I know about and Solutions were sort of bailed out by Hydramaster earlier in the year, so it unlikely to be them.

Must be Hydramaster but could they be selling up and keeping Solutions as a seperate brand with much reduced overheads?

Where did you find this Catman?

Cheers

Doug

Suprised about the sale of the metal bending part as I would have thought that they would keep that and make their own TM's under the Solutions brand.

Basically he is giving away the business, as commercial  property is changing hands regularly at under 5% of its annual yeild in this case this is 65k making the property worth 1.3 million , plus there is space to build another unit.

Bargain for someone.

I think it is a bargain but you have to look if the original units are full? when I went to HM there was Hm and laser master which is a JG company and I guess there's Solutions also so the park is filled by one company there's no additional income.

What's the betting it's bought by a competitor and we have even less choice and more price rises.  :'(

Hi Mike

I would have thought that the competitors have already been offered the opportunity before on went on general sale. Still, whoever buys it, I hope they come from within the industry, nothing worse than 2nd generation suppliers like when a parent hands it down to a non CC. All the passion goes out the window.

You are probably right Pete. Hope so anyway. It will be difficult to top Mr Gotts.

But who's got the money? majority of suppliers are skint or won't take it on because of location unless they relocate it, the midlands would be a great place I bet it would increase sales over night as everyone in England and Wa;es can get there and home within a day.

If it is HM which does sound likely, you have to ask yourself what the ongoing arrangements with HM in the States are.    Could be interesting - fancy looking into it on a potential  50/50 basis Shaun?

You can ask the question "why" about any business  being sold.   No matter what the answer is, you can always be sceptical about it.   Until you look into it in detail & decide whether "you" can see a potential with it, the present owners reason for selling is immaterial
