2 of us have worked our butts off over the last year to get the funds together to start a window cleaning company based in rustington west Sussex
got a van taken out liability insurance got a job lot of traditional gear brought from a local fella who's retiring been leafleting for a few weeks and work is picking up
thankfully we both still work as until established we both need a regular income
at the moment it means working 7 days a week hopefully it'll work out
we were looking at investing in a wfp set up but not are what's needed or what to buy
we have a berlingo and all out work at the moment is 2 and single storey with a couple of 3 storey town houses
any advice appreciated

The cleaner who is retiring. What's he done with his round ? Because the first thing I'd do is try and turn them into my customers. Then I would look into getting a system.

But I'll leave it up to others to give advise as I'm trad

You want as big a water tank in your van as legally possible.
Then depends if you want to buy off the shelf system and get installed or diy it.
purefreedom have a good rep for a fitted system that is very competitive price wise.
If you go diy, gardinerpoles have the benchmark poles and brushes. On here all the time and good customer service.
There are many other good suppliers out there as well.
You really want to buy as much of your kit off 1 supplier if you can.
Whichever way you go, getting biggest tank possible is the most important foundation for you.

At least get a back pac for those 3 storeys,
The tds will be high where you are so you cant just use resin, get a cheap ro and upgrade as you go or take the plunge and get a 4040 ro which will produce faster water ive got a 4040 and put it on at 9 and turned it off at 4.30 after producing 1000 litres of water, have you got a garage or shed you can put a tank.

I am sure you will do well as you seem to have loads of enthusiasm and that’s what it needs.

WFP is definitely the way to go in time but not essential when starting out, when you do go wfp you may find your Berlingo is too small though.
I have one but it’s not really big enough to carry enough water to keep 2 guys busy for a full day. I work alone from the Berlingo and have a bigger van for my 2 man setup.

I think having van mount and backpack is the cheapest and probably best way of covering all bases. I only have trolley and van mount but think the backpack is more convenient than a professional trolley.

you need to look at tripple zero supplies online, they can provide everything you need as a package to diy a good wfp system. also flyers, business cards website and so on can be supplied through them. great online store for getting your business going

i use a kangoo with a 250L tank etc

As mentioned, wouldn't carry enough water for 2 guys working though. fine for myself or if i'm sub-contracting with another cleaner.

Windowcleaningwarehouse is the boys i use for supplies, competitive and postage is usually pretty quick. Also, free postage if you spend over £30
