POOR QUALITY
« on: November 04, 2009, 10:31:47 pm »
Hi all

Just had a customer on the phone who told me about a cleaning company they had just hired today and what they had done to her home. She had told the cleaning company  that she wanted a twice aweek clean for 1.5hrs per visit. The cleaning company sent two cleaners around to the customers house - the customer had told the cleaners that she was popping out for a 1.5hrs and she would be right back. While the customer was out the cleaners had done only a few things then decided to empty the contents of the hoove into the bath and shower then over the rest of the house. when the customer came back both cleaners rushed out of the house saying that they were late for the next job. The customer went round the house to see what had been done and found the house in a right mess. She tried contacting the cleaning company but there phone had been switch off - but later on in the day she had got a text message from the cleaning company saying that they had been late for the next contract because of the customer coming back late (5 mins) and hoped she liked the hoover bag being tipped all over her house and not to contact them again.

I've told the customer to seek legal advice

Is there anything else she can do?

I think staying out of it is the best advice...it sounds too far fetched to be true if you ask me.......who is this customer of yours (why didnt she use your service to clean tthe house  ??? ) and what is she wanting you to do about it?

Hi

I was one of the first cleaning companies she rang but I had been out all day and only returned her call at 19:30pm on the night. Other companies said they couldnt do it as they were fully booked and the only one she could get at the time was the one that wrecked her house. She had told me on the phone what had happened early that day so I had advised her to seek legal advice and to take pictures. She did tell me last night that she did manage to get another cleaning company, but just incase that one didnt turn out ok can we do that area to cover that job.

I'd be tempted to leave well alone.... She sounds like a nut case.... I have been left in many houses and if the customer hasn't arrived back when I'm finished, I just lock up and leave. I'd be very surprised if any company would do such a thing.... But hey, it takes all kinds ;D

Keep well out of it, sounds like there's more going on there.  Maybe she was back a lot later than mentioned, and maybe has done it before to them, or all manner of other angles, like she's a bit "disturbed", who knows.  But I'd definitely keep out of it.
