http://www.zenrooms.co.uk/, this is a new cleaning business in yorkshire, check it out and listen to whats been said on radio, it is a quiet good idea i think, especially if you do regular cleans, and him marketing stratedgy quiet good too, but although it's niche i think its very limited market out there for this type of service.

Thanks Dash.  I like the concept even if its a bit out there and most people just want you to get the limescale off their toilet, however people like the idea of a lifestyle so it will attract people as a marketing strategy definitely.

I like the warm fuzzy feeling they present and the checklist is good, however I'd be wary of asking the customers to tick what they want doing every visit.  In my experience, some would expect everything doing including windows, inside the fridge, oven, etc all in 2 hours!  We use checklists but we tick what we've done as a communication tool.

Managing customer expectations is one of the challenges of running a cleaning business imo so take care anyone that plans to use this checklist.

Cheers

Diane,

I thought you may like to see it, as it's the only site that comes up as your competitor on google maps, and you do regular leans, when to me it makes no difference as it's not my ara of cleaning.

But there has beena bit of media coverage for this business thats how i got to know about them :)

Oh purlease!!!!  ;D

As a novelty or a gift, this will work. As a regular housework solution? Nah, never. Two weeks of folded sheets and chocolates and the client will be seeing the value of having that time and money spent on window cleaning or other jobs  :D

I think it will work at first like you said, but after a while t will fade, too fancy for our cleaning industry, however it's a unique idea i give him that, so good luck to him. We all only trying to make a living  :)
