Nat's thinking similar
Only those who risk going too far will truly know how far they can actually go

I'm trailing something very similar to roof reviver,.. but the chems are half the price (and roof reviver won't ship anything smaller than a full pallet out of the US) and a mate of mine is trying a very similar (But half the price again) product to this: http://www.roofclean.co.uk/index.shtml

We're going to take a load of before and after photo's and compare results.

The beauty of it is that WFP guys alrady have most of the gear required to spray the chems onto the roof. :)

It should work the same. Mossgo is costly though,.. I've found something with the same active chems in for a lot less money!

My plan is to use chems only and spray from the ground using a WFP pole.

I'm designing a little gizmo which will attach to the end of your pole/gooseneck that has 2 fan jets angles up the roof and 2 lightweight wheels,... just roll it up and down the roof to apply the chem and walk away. An average roof should take no longer than 90 minutes to do.

The downside to the chem only approach without going up on the roof is that the results are far from instant,.. it kills the moss & algae in only a couple of days, but relies on the weather to break it down and wash it away which can take weeks. On bad roofs a double application 2 weeks apart is recommended by some suppliers too.

Ive used mossgo on my roof before taking it to the public and it is pants.
I brushed the big peices of moss off and coated the roof with the stuff, used more than i should if anything to get maximum results. But now, after about 3 months of it being on there, the coated side is very slightly lighter. No-one would be happy paying for those reults.

It needs to be pressure washed  ...   carefully

the whole point is just getting all the moss algae lichen of the roof, its not like they think they are getting new slates, am sure the right product is out there,  some where that will do all that not using a pressure washer, and the reviver i think to me resembles nothing more than oxygen bleach,

I've had very mixed results myself with a product that contains the same chems as Mossgo. I sprayed it on a patio after pressure washing a year ago, and that patio now looks like I was only there yesterday,.. so I'm confident to say that it maintains the result after the initial cleaning,.. but as for that initial bit, more may be needed.

I'm trying a powdered chem very similar to Roof Reviver http://stores.reviversystems.com/StoreFront.bok for the initial clean,.. only time will tell if it works.

All the guys in america use chlorine bleach, which is something I'm not keen on. It's expensive and not very eco-friendly!
