Darren, did you phone any of the garages in the motor market weekly paper. I got mine done somewhere behind the Forge, and they came and picked it up from the house.

You're a carpet cleaner................only a couple of days work  ;D ;D

I'd be concerned about the low mileage you should get nearer 80k - 100k from original clutch unles you're one of the people who " ride the clutch at lights, etc, instead of using the handbrake "

Clutch went on the old astra van,at home on my drive, didn`t have any way of getting it to my mates garage to fix ! Guess what i actually pushed it a mile from home so my recovery would take me there, pushing it through the village on my own ,was not much fun at all ! Nearly killed myself if i am honest, and did use the starter motor with van in gear at one point,as i was purple and panting !

Bob still havent got it but a couple of things have happened, drove the van to the Nissan garage this morning at 7am managed to do 25mph Arnold Clark are going to take photos and send them of to Nissan and they will tell me if my warranty will cover it 6 weeks left on it if i have to pay its just under £800 even if i get it done cheaper at an other garage Arnold Clark said they will have to charge me for the labour of stripping out the gear box its a no win situation.

Don't you have to drop the gearbox for any clutch job.
Took me and my mate a Saturday afternoon to change one
on a Suzuki Jeep.
That was using axle stands and a Haynes manual.
Mate is quite handy though as he used to be an engineer.
