Full page spread on WFP in yesterdays Guardian
« on: November 01, 2009, 09:40:18 am »
It made an interesting read, and was very positive towards the featured operator.
There were quite a few inaccuracies,, like stating he carried 2x 2000l of water , when the van he was pictured with was a Vivaro.

It said most wc ers earn 20k a year , 25 if you work hard, but he is a workaholic so earns a lot more .  It then went on to say he did not take a holiday this year!

Quite a good read.

The first line is a bit dodgy though.............

'Feel this; that's 995 grams," says Dave Lugsden, thrusting a long pole proudly into my hands. I give it a jiggle, then a quick swish

Good read and thought it was a great name for his company. Can't understand why he would want to put a Pig on the end of an SL-X though.

Now if this was The Sun reporting this story it would go something like.

White Van man makes 100k by cleaning windows with a yard brush on a stick with water out of his van. ::)

That pole must be one of Alex's prototype's

The brush weighs about 595grams - its a vikan sill isnt it

That must have been the most honest, unbiased write ups on window cleaning and WFP in particular that I have ever read.
Thankfully the majority of Guardian readers will be those with more disposable income to spend on window cleaning than the trash tabloid paper readers.
