Leather Suppliers Pigments and Top Coat
« on: October 31, 2009, 09:26:44 pm »
Just out of interest has anyone had any recent problems with either top coat PU or pigments leading to the top coat not lasting more than a week or two?

It's just that I've had no probs up until fairly recently and I've spoken to a few other restorers who have had similar problems.

I'm not saying it's a definite product problem, just seems a coincidence.

Hi Judy

It was the seats on a bog standard cream pigmented suite. I've been using the same stuff, water based PU on another and same thing happened. It's like the TC is still tacky and get all fluff and stuff in it then comes off and looks grey.

I will be speaking to the supplier about it, just wondered if it was isolated case, maybe not. :o
