« on: June 01, 2005, 05:40:28 pm »
i clean a local pub and there are several problems,
1. i have nowhere to clean my mop after use
2. the landlord wants me to flood the floor then dry it
3. i am not to use any detergent/polish on the tables
4. changing my routine , eg, i start from one end and work my way around, but he will say start in the middle, etc

You use a bucket with your mop, use this to clean your mop, just empty and refill with clean water (plus bleach or whatever) and clean your mop in that.  Have you asked the landlord why he wants you to 'flood' the floor and what he exactly means by that and why he wants you to change your routine?  What type of floor is it?  As for the tables they should come up ok with just a damp wipe and dry wipe, have you tried this?

the tables are stinking as the pub serves food daily, and the floor is heavy duty lino?
he seems to think that to get a floor clean you have to really wet it.

Lol - How long have you been doing this?  Looks like you will just have to tell him in no uncertain terms that you are the contractor and know your trade!

Unless he has very good reasons for you changing your routine etc eg: slip hazards etc and why he won't allow chemicals I would just go ahead and clean your way.  At the end of the day he obviously contracted it out because he can't do it and wants a good job done.

Put your foot down and say 'my way or no way'.  ;D
