Hi all,
could you give you views on this set up and what you would call a fair price. Am i right that this machine used to be suplied by woodbrige

2008 58 plate New Model Ford Transit 260 SWB LR 2.2tdci 85ps complete with a Chemtex Panther Truckmount System which has only had 47 hours of use. The vehicle has only done 8,579 miles 200ft hose, fresh water tank, waste tank, 2 wands,

thanks,
Shaun

my guess £16,000 to £20,000 depending on how good the owner is at generating interest.

Don't know anything about the machine but I would be concerned about the van - it isn't big enough.
You will be close on max weight all the time (and often over it) and despite what Ford may say, it isn't designed to run at full load all the time.
Secondly (but least importantly) it probably isn't high enough to stand a wand upright so that will have to lie down or be hooked up.
Fianally, if you want to carry a portable backup (believe me you will), you will have little room for anything else and will be constantly emtying the van to get to the thing you want at the back.
Sorry to moan - but I've done it!

fair comments about the weight issue but i know plenty of tm users who carry too much weight in the van, i also know plenty of tm users who cant stand a wand upright, no big deal. i was corrected quiet correctly the other week on a post where i said that you never need a porty if you have a tm, someone from glasgow told me to try that in his city which is full of high risers and tenements, fair comment but where i live, in the sticks, normal sort of town, i don't need a porty, ever.

Finance repo, I pity the poor guy who couldnt make enough to keep up the repayments and make a wage for himself and pay all his other overheads as well. Is it a sign of the economic times or are there too many carpet cleaners around looking for business in a shrinking market ( pardon the pun). Still, someone will end up with a bargain.
