DONT BUY THAT STEP !!  its so creppily made its a joke .  i was looking for a step a while ago and came across it .  i dare you to stand on it !  if you look closely on the packaging you will see the maximum weight limit is something like 8 stone .  ;D

small steps arent easy to find, in the end i found a very good step in THE RANGE  ,  it was about 6 quid and is handy for outside work on the slightly high windows .

I don't have a fold up step anymore. Mine broke when using it on an uneven surface.

I use one of these. Doesn't fold though.

Sometimes the old milk crate comes into it's own, it's one of my most useful bits of kit, what I love about the milk crate is the way you can move it along with your foot when doing shops.

i bought one of those cheap fold up steps (got mine from ebay) i used it for getting off balconies as the rail is always just that little bit too high!
anyway the cheap one i bought i was up on a balcony and just adjusted my weight on the step and the thing just exploded under me with bits of plastic going everywhere and slicing my leg open

i now have one i bought from the local snap-on tool dealer and it is well up to the job, cost a bit more but is well worth it
