Con Roof
« on: October 15, 2009, 03:19:33 pm »
Hello,

Have just picked up my first conservatory roof job (glass roof).  I have a couple of questions if anyone would be kind enough to take a couple of mins to help me out:

1.  When doing a conservatory roof do you also clear out the conservatory gutters or is this priced seperately?

2.  I am a trad cleaner so wondered how to get the correct finish on the glass as I do not have access to pure water?  I do have a telescopic pole which connects to a standard garden hose so my plan was to give the roof a good scrub with that and a soft brush as I understand this is sufficient to remove most moss/ algae.  However if I rinse off with the tap water this will not leave a very good finish.  How do other trad cleaners get around this?

Thanks, Mike

Before i had access to pure water, i would save glass con roofs till a rainy day. If you do it while its raining the rain water washes off the inpurities. I would just use a wfp connected to the custys tap. Never had any complaints and i did this for about 2 years

Thanks guys.

How about clearing out the conservatory gutters?  Is that priced separately?
