if the custy wont let you use thier water as they are on a meter do you charge them for bringing your own as at the end of the day you have to pay for your water!! also i find its always the rich buggers in the fancy big houses with flash cars that tell you they are on a water meter so can you bring your own.  little mrs jones down the road will let you use how much of her water you want! its the same old story>

Water cost about £1.30 per cubic meter which is a 1000 litres and about the same again for drainage.

How many 1000 litres do you use?

 I wouldn't be telling a customer there's an extra charge for the water surly that's an overhead to your business which is part of the quoting process.

By the same token if some numptyblett said you not using their water because of a meter I wouldn't be bothered doing the job, sure sign of things to come.

We always just tell them we need to top up the onboard water tank from there supply and as yet havnt had any moaners who are on a meter, dont think i would try charging them for water tho, they might charge us for the cups of tea they do us

i got charged for tea and biscuits the other day! 

i usually carry 2 tanks of water, 1000 litres and 400 litres and ask custy can i keep them topped up with thier garden tap.

Just add £10 on to quote, then knock £5 off towards thier bill, evry FULL hour you run you use about 1000 litres that equates to £1.30 as posted by catman.
