plus you got to collect there tax, (basically a unpaid tax collector) and you get to keep it till the tax man ask for it,  and if you have spent it you can get seriouly Fu$£%d for it,  my auntys boss had to bankrupt as he spent it all, so the lads didnt loss all there credits

when i had my plumbing business,  it was usually 2 times what my public liabilty was ie pl 150 take on one person and it when up to 450, but this covered him getting injured and causing damage,  best bet is try a gocompare or something like that and get a quote of them

doesnt make much difference i think, they still on a contract,  plus if ltd and go bust they cant take any thing,  do u have enough work to keep some one employed full time ie 30 plus hours a week

thats a problem i have not enough work for 2 people to window clean  40 hrs per week
needed around about 15 to 20 hrs per week , paying liability insurances is  a must when employing someone just as tax is

Is it not possible to employ someone on a self-employed basis only if only needed for say 15-20 hours per week?  Would they then be responsible for arranging their own tax, NI and Insurance?

the law says that if they dont use there own tools, they are not self employed  basically    they are cracking down on self employment

you could employ them on a cis card, and only pay them for the hours they work,  but you still got to keep 18 per cent back  and they sort out there own ni  this might be the easy option

construction industry scheme i think thats what it means

basically means that you are not really employed and can get finished up when they want to get rid of you,  its a bit of a con, but protects the employer more that the employee,  means no work no pay,

your staff can work part time and earn up to 95 pound a week before tax or ni comes into it if you keep them below this then its easier

that is true,  but u might want to take in consideration, tax credits and child care cost for which you got to work min of 16 hours and earn a min of 92 quid, to get of the gov,   what u might find is that if you are only offering 15  hours a week,  someone with a family might not want it as they are better of on the dole,

i was put on sick a few months ago for a month and my tax credit stoped with my child care, so had to come of the sick as was worse of  just glad i was self employed so can change what i earn
