why do people

ask for quots over the phone iv had 2 calls 2day for quotes 2 clean fac,sof,conservatory roofs. on 4 bed detached houses as i told them i cant quote over the phone as i need to see the job but then they ask for rounderabout price and i still fall for it as i told them min it would be 100 quid.  do  any others fall for this.

Not worth giving out "a guide price" invariably its always going to be more.. price hunters are just that - anyone wanting a real quote will be more than happy for you to come and visit.

Sometimes its just other WC's wives phoning up sussing out the competition.

Seriously though ive had it a few times, either they are competition or starting up and want to get an idea!

I just tell them as a rough guide £XXX per side and see what their reaction is!
