« on: October 12, 2009, 11:00:49 pm »
after purifying my rain water down to 000 ppm from 040 ppm, i cant help noticing there is a kight green tinge to the colour of the water!

had anybody else experience this and if so is it safe to use on windows?

never heard of it, but 0.00 has to be dirt free , so the windows should dry clear.

Yeah, you have algae mate. Paint your tanks black. It doesn't affect window cleaning unless it is very bad.
It's a game of three halves!

I use an MPV (windows all round) and had a lot of trouble with algae.

What I do now is add a cupful of bleach to the tank about once a fortnight in Summer and once a month in winter - no problems at all now (and it doesn't affect the TDS reading).

And it smells real 'clean' when filling up.   ;)
