They limit pole wear by a factor of 10. No more grit up the pole, or atleast, very very little. :)

I had one but after a month or so i realised that i didn't get on with it.
I found it extra work to unwrap when i wanted to use to extend the 17ft xtel pole it was on. It also caught on things when i was at full reach over something.
If 1 of the pieces that the hose wrapped around was like the cable wrap things on a dyson, (which can swivel around so the cable pulls off in 1 go) i would still use it.
In the end i found grit on the hose less annoying.
