What's on the window?
« on: October 12, 2009, 09:26:46 pm »
Hi,

Did a first clean today and part of the house has just had an extention built.  I agreed to clear off bits of plaster etc for her but came across some black crap that I could get rid of some but not all of it.  My thoughts are it is probably cement but thought this would come off relatively easy with a soak and scrape.  >:(

Anyone help me out on this?  Said I'd look into it for her as couldn't get it off the windows.

Cheers
Mike

On another note is it the builder's responsibility to clean the windows of cement and crap?

If so I will tell the custy to phone them and get them back.

technically yes, but if they have got someone else in to do it (you), then you charge for it.

your time, chemicals used etc.. all adds up.

if they dont want to pay - then yes, tell them call the builders back as they put it on there - its not your problem as you didn;t do it.
