Shorts for charity
« on: October 12, 2009, 08:35:57 pm »
I'm thinking of working through the winter in my shorts for charity (Cancer research).
Any thoughts ?  Good idea / bad idea ?

I could do a press release /contact the local rag for some good marketing, and get to do something constructive for a very worthwhile charity too.

i think its a good idea and a bit of a unique one, but through the whole of winter is a bit mad in reality and maybe not the best idea for your own health. I reckon you would get the same kind of responce and support if you was to do it for say a week. However if you do go ahead with something like this i will for sure sponser you.

good luck

I was wondering if I could hack the whole winter..  The one day a week sounds a good idea too, I'm still pondering whether or not to do it, don't want to feel a fool if I start it and tell everyone then chicken out when winter sets in. :-\

would wearing tights or running legings under your shorts count as cheating, or does it have to be exposed skin ?

What ever you do good luck and I hope you raise a packet :D

Thanks for the support, I've ordered some info from Cancer research UK, sponsor forms and contact etc.  I'll let you know how I get on when I've started.
