Started as a partnership,but i'm now wanted to go go my own way,
how would anyone go about this?

I would be upfront and honest asap

explain why and split as amicably as possible

better off on ur own matey from past experience.i found u cant rely on anybody but yourself.GO FOR IT!ITLL BE THE BEST THING YOULL DO!family and friends and business do not mix!hard work,tenacity and keep knocking those doors.good luck

this is how i did it with the mother-in-laws partener

i looked at all the work and put them into "sets" of 200 ish quid of work

so set 1 was "a" road with 200 ish quid of work and "b" the same amount of work on a different street

then work though the sets

he picks the choice from set 1 ( either a or b ), you get the 1 he doesnt pick

then you have first pick from set b

he gets first pic from set c

and so on and on

it means no hard feelings as you both get a go at picking first

This topic must be a warning for people wanting to enter into a partner ship.....

i spoke with a job redundant friend a few days ago... and it became very tempting....
but the more i sat down with pen and papaer the more i found it distressing....

i would rather employ than let someone into what i have built.

The trouble with partnerships in a service industry like ours is that you need double of the amount of everything, without ever being able to put double the amount back into it.
Not many friendships can survive partnerships in business.

both of us where made redudant at the same time,so we started together,

thing is i want to push it ,my mates pretty happy plodding along,which seems to be holding me back

r u both working the same days ie 5 days a week or do u have time off, if you have time off why not start a round on your own, and just you work it,    could you buy him out and just have him as a employee,

we have a week where i could build from on,

just dont know how to go about splitting the rest

if he is just plodding alond, he might want out deep down, just wont say it to you,  i would split the round up in to equal no of house and money and give him half,   is it mainly domestic or commercial

he see's it as pocket money(thats the feeling i get),

deep down i reckon he wants factory work all year everyday

u might just have to ask him, of that is what he wants,  and if he does, buy him out if you can afford it,  or offer to buy him out and take him back on as i said before,  some people dont like being self employed they prefer the regular wages and no stress

was thinking along the lines of buyin him out and saying when i need him or if i build it up,contracts and the like,would he help when needed for a wage
