What do you guys do if the windows on a customers house are open and cant be shut? Im moving over to wfp and this is my only real worry as the frames have to be cleaned. Im not really up for calling 20-30 people the day before, but this is what my friend does, seems like a pain. Or is this just how it is going to have to be.

Im hoping there is a way of doing it without flooding their houses!

I like the way it works a t the moment, I do as I please and if something comes up that needs to done I just do it. Perhaps this is a little unprofessional but half of us on here enjoy window cleaning because of the freedom!!

If it's like that, I just do the face of the glass on the relevant windows.  The only time open windows can be a problem is if you have an opener below a small pane.  If i can't push closed, I just use the bare minimum of water on the window above it.

Only problems I have is with the ones that open inwards from the top
Still do them but with minimal flow, ain't had a complaint yet that I've flooded the inside but where does the water run?

I agree with all of the above replies!

You just clean what you can get at, even with sash windows, I no longer worry if an open means I cannot clean all of it, so far I have never had a problem with this.

first thing is to ask the custy to close any windows if they are available, if it is open, dont clean it, unless it opens outwards as usualy the weight of the pole can push open more, especialy the ones that open inwards, even with the flow turned down, water can still land on the inside sill on to the carpet,  some may have a portable telly there, so now i just dont take the chance

I actually prefer the top transom openers to be open as the crap from the glass and lower part of the frame dosnt run down on the main pane beneath
