Has anyone got any good sites for photos for a new website.

We are going to have a mixture of stock photos (for image of nice clean carpets, sofas with happy family etc) and some of our own but the site I used before www.istockphoto.com is a bit pricier than I remember and I cant find what I'm looking for.

Cheers

Simon

Don't forget for the web you don't need high res versions and they are usually price graded on resolution. Don't the web ones on istock cost £2-3?

Thats what I paid last time but I sent the web designer (Kev Loomes) a link and he seemed to suggest I needed the second highest grade - think I'll check with him in case wires were crossed.

you only need 72 dpi for web viewing.

however this depends on the size of image you require.

the larger pictures are 300dpi but when viewed on the web are only viewed in 72dpi.

300dpi is for printing like flyers etc.
