Which Trad Pole
« on: September 30, 2009, 05:31:08 pm »
Hi wondered which trad pole you guys use and whether you can recommend one?

Need to purchase one and would prefer to get something decent rather than some flimsey rubbish.

Any advice appreciated.

Thanks
Mike

Hi,

Ettore pro grip handle does not fit tight on harris pole. I presume same for Unger.

Do you find your pulex pole strong enough?

I used a two section 2m pulex pole before and found it a bit bendy when near fully extended.  Couldn't get any sort of finish on the window at all.

I like my Harris pole.  Some handles don't fit the end, you can unscrew the black plastic tapered end for some and also shaving down the plastic tapered end allows other handles (like Wagtail) to fit like that.  For £15 it's excellent.

unger teleplus 30 ft 10 metre 5 section pole.mainly use the 3 sections on most awkward windows.i also have a swivel squeegy and t mop, fixi clamp etc.i find it v. handy for awkward angles.fit all my unger  equipment inclu my 4in scraper.a must if ur a sole TRAD cleaner in  IMO.GET A BACKFLIP AS WELL.i also have a short optiloc pole for large tall downstairs windows.a godsend for iffy windows and winter when ladders would be too dangerous.if u make a bit of a mess with pole make sure u use a bone dry micro fibre in the fixi clamp for the detailing ;)i also have a angle adapter, great for cleaning skylights
