Hi there, My insurance is now up for renewal, for the last 12 months while i've been trading on my own i've only needed public liability, now that i'm ready to take staff on i need employee liability. It seems like a minefield when i'm speaking to insurance companies, does everyone who is a key holder have extra cover for this? Does your insurance cover need to cover you for the items your cleaning.ie if i drop someones very precious vase is that vase covered? I am now thinking that my current policy isn't as good as i thought.
Also for employee cover does this have to be per employee or can it be for 1-3 employees, the ones i've spoken to so far say it's per single employee and each time i set someone on i must call to add them to the policy, this will be calculated on a pro-rata basis.
I've had a quote for myself and 1 employee ,with key holding for £215 for the year is this good?
Any advice would be appreciated thanks...Pauline
