Machine was working fine yesterday then first job today the pump wont go above 200psi even if i wind the pump up to 500psi i still drops back down to 200psi tried wonder wand and normal wand but made no difference anybody any ideas.cheers Darren

Derek were i stay we have the softest water in the UK so i dont think thats it but will keep it in mind and the machine is only 6 months old.

Have you ran the solution tank dry?
You may have an airlock.

i bought about 4 packs but sorted my problem. (trucky)

worth a shot for a few quid. continuos loop it then leave for a few hours or over night then continuous loop it again and flush.

when you start the pump at the beginning of each job do you prime the pump at about 120 psi

Richard not sure what you mean mate when iam finished a job i always turn the pump down to about 100psi then when i start the next job i always use the grey open ended hose and run the pump for about a minute into the soution tank.

Hi Darren,sounds like your pump due for a service,mine went the same way after 5 months.Gradualy losing pressure then packed in completly.Matt at cleansmart replaced the whole pump under warranty,the one that he replaced as just been serviced it started leaking at the pump head.Matt as a exchange system instead of replacing the seals and the worn parts he swapped it over.These pumptec pumps need servicing every 300 hrs I was told!

darren i've had a similar problem. you need to turn the pressure regulator numpty untill it comes off. Then turn it back on about 3 turns ( this will not registar any pressure on the dial ). Then run the pump untill all the air bubbles have gone, then turn regulator upto full pressure and then back down to below the 0 psi mark. Take off the grey hose and reattach solution hose.

I find the easiest why to make sure all the air bubbles have disappeared is to submerse the grey hose in a bucket. Another good idea is to leave the grey hose attached and sitting in the bucket for about 10 mins, prior to turning on the pump. This allows the water to trickle downwards and help relieve the air bubbles.

Got it sorted the filter in the machine was totally blocked took it off washed it put it back on then ran the pump with the grey hose for 10mins then tried it with the Wonder Wand and it seems fine again so i think it was the filter or it might of been a airlock but its working now anyway cheers guys.

Just had a similar problem with mine, turned out the pipe from the Perfect heat coils, up
to the heater, had kinked. Out of site under the heater. I didn't find it until it blew.

Another problem with the same symptom is wear on the regulator piston.
