Spray and go
« on: September 21, 2009, 07:55:24 pm »
Finally got around to assaulting my mainly white woolen rug from Tunisia with spray and go from Chemspec.
I say 'assaulting' because there were numerous coffee stains on it.
It's done a fab job but jeez it doesn't half stink like a hundred perms have just happened in the bedroom, and the whole idea of using this stuff is that you spray it on then just leave it.
I'm thinking of maybe giving a good saturation and scrubbing tomorrow on the driveway to get rid of the smell.
What have others done about this?

Easy Neil,

Don't use it. Stopped using this years ago because of the smell and the effects on your breathing system, never mind a customers house!

Look around for a similar type product. I use CBT, but there are loads of things around. See if you can get some samples!

I use spray & go all the time the smell is never an issue, yes it does stink but once its rinsed out it is negligible.

CBT is an acid spotter which is effective against coffee, tea browning but spray & go is the next step when this type of spotter doesn't work
