Hi all,

I've been using a second hand Prochem Cheyenne machine for a month now and decided to fix my dripping wand. I untightened the nuts, jet nozzles and filter, cleaned them all up and put them back on using plumbers tape and now the dual jets are dripping far worse than before! I am happy I applied the plumbers tape correctly aswell as tightening them enough. Should there be a washer between the filter and nozzle? The fittings are brass and not that new, would anybody suggest that I simply need new fittings or am I missing something else?

Hi David, maybe the rubber seal up inthe trigger has worn, this will make them drip too

If the nozzles are top hat type held on by the nut then you don't need plumbers tape. This is probably preventing a good seal. The filters have a spring and ball bearing non return valve this may be clogged as well. Unscrew the whole filter assembly. clean and re-asemble. As Andrew says you may also need a repair kit for your valve.
