Cleaning off paint marks
« on: September 18, 2009, 08:55:42 am »
I have a customer who has old Marley tiles in his lounge and wants to keep them (why?!).

Problem is that following decorating the floor is covered in splodges and lots of tiny splashes of paint, mainly ceiling paint but some gloss.

It seems to be impossible to shift the stuff. Any suggestions?

Yer WHY?

Bit of nitromors for the gloss paint but dont leave it on for to long just so it goes soft then wipe with thinners on a cloth.

As for the emulsion paint which i do assume they used for the ceiling sugarsoap warm water should do it
Been there,seen it,done it,just cant remember when

You dont want to damage the surface on those old tiles. Use swarfega on any stubborn stains and a very fine steel wool..very gently.
