Have had a really good few months ! Work every day, paid outstanding to Hmrc, tax paid on both van and car, also another 12 months mot on my roc  ;D
This week however ,just a couple of quotes, and 1 job today !
Fingers crossed it will start to pick up again, before it goes dead prior to Yule !
Been good to have some time off,re joined face book after deleting my account, due to my political views, thought it best before i said something, that would get me in trouble !
Have caught up with people who i have not seen in 20 odd years !
Also found Mr Neylan on there.

The domestic side has gone quiet but managing to just tick over! The oven cleaning picks up a bit when carpet cleaning goes a bit quiet, heaven knows why!

I'm cleaning quite a few mate's carpets at the moment including the local pub. It's a good time to ask businesses if they would like a free sample clean as it gets you out of the house and noticed, and you have a good chance of clinching a good bit of work!

It's a funny old game this carpet cleaning though, one minute your cacking yourself cos next week's dead, then the next thing you've got a job or 2 every day booked in.... Very unpredictable!

Carpet cleaning side for us is dead to be true. One Carpet and Three Piece booked in for next week, but this was from a job booked back in July.

Everything else reasonable but no where near as busy as we'd lie. Pressure washing has been quiet this year too.

October onwards manic with main customers. Not enough then too much; Isn't this always the way?!!!

So near yet so far Joe, I can say the opposite, July and August was quiet and now the phone has started ringing again.

Laminated and timber flooring continues to increase in spite of our expectations of it passing it's peak a couple of years ago, so the market is shrinking.
More people are starting up as c/c's
More people are buying the heavily advertised domestic machines - Vax are currently advertising - so it is getting tougher.

It's still a huge market though and it's down to individual marketing efforts to pull them in

I'm amazed at how many of my customers actually own a Vax! They are good for us because the customer obviously cares about their carpets, and once they have used a Vax, their carpets are going to look trashed within a few weeks. Cue the professional C/C ;D

Actually, I clean  local pub's carpets on a regular basis... But they've bought a vax and tried doing themselves to save money ::) They've come back asking if maybe we can draw up a maintainance plan! All thanks to Vax.... I blooming love Vax!!!!

Ever since end of june things have been getting busier and busier by the end of one week the next seems to get booked up. back in may i stepped up my marketting budget and its worked a treat so far. My work is mostly domestic dont go looking too much for com work but get a steady flow of enquiries for com work of all sizes.

All good down here

Booked the one i quoted today, doing neighbour Monday (no don`t go there) Then neighbours mum after that ! Then i have to go and spray odour neaut on carpets that another carpet cleaning company has supposedly cleaned ! For the letting agy i work for,i did tell them to call the company who did them, but they have tried, left messages etc,and they have not called back !
They smell like a mixture of cheesey feet, and wet canine ! I bigged myself up here,i always use odour fresh, and in all honesty i could have got the carpets a damn site cleaner. Not sure hat machine they used, but i think they must have left them very wet !
Brownie points to me though, charging them £50. to go and spray some odour fresh !

Couple of quotes next week, and a couple of jobs booked in,i can start the week with nothing, but end up with work every day !
Need to start saving some money, just booked Yule in Amsterdam ! Oh yey ! Can not wait ! Don`t need to do any family type socialising now, which in my books is great news  ;D

Been flat out all summer during the good weather and while the kids were off so didn't have much spare time.
But last 2 weeks been very quiet, probably quietest since Jan/Feb.

i would put out a 1000 on your own or with a friend and see what responce you get, if you get 1 job then i'm afraid your leaflets were put in the bin.
i read in the small print on one leaflet delivery company, "we only garauntee 60% or above of total leaflets delivered"
WTF!
unbelievable
