We are looking to buy a new Truckmount . Anyone using the Alltec Blueline / Any problems so far.We have heard of a few.
Obviously Prochems look pukka .And plenty to choose from.Heard indifferent reports about their after sales though .Other than these 2 , any suggestions. would like to purchase with - in next month .

I currently run a Prochem Blazer but if i was to go and buy a new one tomorrow it would probably be  an Alltec Blue wave or Thermal wave as i have heard lots of good comments on there service and reliability.

I run a Blueline Thermal Wave 2 Vortec. Excellent TM and service from Alltec, I couldnt be more pleased that I chose this one.

I know of three lads (who don’t frequent any forum and local) who are using Woodbridge’s only bad comments from them they take the big P on severing costs, I’ve got a blazer not one of the best, never ever phoned Prochem re problems parts yes.

But if I were to replace it I would have a good look at the prowler.

The main thing , as well as the machine being effient, is reliabilty .

Depends on what kind of work you are doing, you can go too big IMO but Alltec do kit the vans out far better, I'm on my 2nd Hydramster (upgraded) the most reliable has to be the Prowler there's nothing to go wrong with them but if you are doing very long hose runs then it may not be powerful enough hense the question "depends what kind of work you do"

I’ve got a mate who races classic cars on the way to the race his tow car broke down called the service (under my personal membership) no oil what a plonker.  Reliability I’m sure all will defend the faith, three wise monkeys, some time old ware out the new, what the problem. Ah work type

I got a blueline and its not old technology, prochem or not, sounds like a negative rumour.

Buying your first truckmount, makes you think of loads of strange questions/things, but once you own one you realise that those things you were panicing about are long forgotten.

All start entry TM's are about the same in power, if you consider that you are using a portable and moving to a TM, its a bit like cracking a walnut with a plastic hammer and now you got a sledgehammer.

What I would consider as you most important question is what TM, to where you are in UK. who is you nearest supplier. I know that Alltec will service all TM makes, not sure if this is the same with woodbridge, prochem, HM.

my advice (IMO), only get prochem if you local prochem dealer does TMs, the local prochem dealer in norfolk is crap, so TM service is crap, a week to turn around and no one knows sweet FA about TM's.

Thanks again for comments .Current machine is a Steamway 9100.
Alltecs service is exeplary. That said , it is the niggling things that have gone wrong and the amount of times we have had to go up to them that gets on our nerves . Plus the cost of that .
We do the majority of cleaning of houses.  Not long hose runs with that kind of work .

Reliabilty is the key word for us .

If most of your work is houses with not long runs then value for money has to be the Prowler 13hp. Thats good for 300ft.
I have the 15hp Prowler and works very well. Got it at a good price with 22 hours on the clock. If I had to buy one new it would be the 13hp - purely on cost, £5600 + vat inc 100' hosing and wand.

I would go for a simple truckmount without the bells and whistles. Something that's been around a while and well proven.

The Blazer XL springs to mind
