Unger Carbon-tec poles

Hi all,
Anyone useing the Unger Carbon-Tec poles? what are they like to use and would you advise getting one?

Incredibly (really) heavy, totally unsuitable for the work that we are doing. Even when it was launched there were poles out that were leages ahead. I mean, it's over 8Kg for the longest one I think.

There is a place for them. Here is their ideal usage scenario:

Large firm employs contractors to carry out different types of commercial cleaning one of these types of cleaning is window cleaning -say about 20% of work load. They want to be able to equip the van with one pole that is tough enough to take employee abuse, has no telescoping sections to wear and will clean ground to 5th floor. They also do not care if the pole is heavy as they are not the ones using it (this may change with the first £100,000+ RSI claim an employed window cleaner successfully gets awarded).

In the above situation the Carbon-Tec is very popular, I know one firm who has sold 50 of these units to such businesses in the last 6 months.

Ask some one who actually has one is probably your best bet for true verdict. 'Opinions' are free and pretty much useless otherwise.

I've used one, trust me, stay WELL AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You'll need anabolic steroids to use one!
