Another round builder who will get critisised on reviews. No one is happy unless they get the work themselves. They know the prices-the area(rough or not)-they meet the customers-If you not happy with any of these when canvassing yourself you turn your back on it - With round builders your out of pocket before you asses the work they provide. I prefare getting work myself......
When i had my previous work i DID consider with the workload training in house canvassers to go to areas i knew and have the knowledge of what the business needed to expand. As for hiring outside help without the same vision for my business they werent getting a chance

sorry but this thread sounds like another window cleaner who hasnt made it or cant hack it to me. No offence, I have been there and done it myself. You should use your loaf if your a window cleaner already why on earth would you wish to build up for other people???surely if you had a business sence on you, you would use your canvassers to build your own empire up instead of earning a piddly x2 for gaining work for others for which you would have to replace all the bad work and cancalations. I just dont see the logic in you canvassing for other people if you already are a window cleaner.
The only reason im giving you my view is that i tried it. I sold off all my work to start canvassing thinking it would be so much better than shineing myself, 6months later i realised what a plum i was struggling to earn enough money to live on and always oweing out money or replaceing dropout customers for other wc's. Anyway im now back cleaning with a great round and NEVER wish to sell up again or to canvass for OTHER SHINERS.

I went full in mate. What was the point in doing it otherwise???How will you get all your work done on time when you will always be on the go canvassing????not hard to work out unless you have a rubbish tiny round which i doubt as you have canvassers and you dont seem to employ if you want to canvass for others??.
Anyway What I was getting at is why build up for others traveling all over the place and having so many probs  for a short x2 value when you could use your guys working in areas that you choose, all as local as you want and build up rounds and franchise them off or even employ. franchises or employed you would be on x 12 yearly before expences for your efforts. If you have enough canvassers then you could realy make it big for yourself.

Good point - Why canvass £1000pcm of work for £2000 when in 12 months it could earn you £12000

errrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrm Work it out mate read it again. £1000 x2 is £2000 which is good as a quick fix. if you owned that work it would be £12000 yearly. if you had £100000 a month of work then £1200000 a year. I know how id rather do things.

But you wont be doing that yearly will you. you charge x2. No guarantee where the next request of work will come from is there. Having your own work would earn you x 12 and it would be regular. Mate im not dissing you, just bit of advice to make it work better. No Canvassing company makes it at the end, Yet all well run window cleaning rounds do. I found this out the hard way

God your missing the point - £1000 of work per month your selling for £2000 = profit £2000
you clean the £1000pcm of work yourself = profit £12000 for 12 months at £1000

Get it ?
