New to this game...advice appreciated...

I realise that most of my questions can probably be found in the search engine, but that doesn't give me the opportunity to introduce myself or enter into any kind of forum, so hi ;)

I currently run my own plastering company and hit on the idea of starting a jet cleaning business to run in conjunction with it, i.e. i plaster you walls and clean, resand and seal your block paved drive ( as well as offering other services too ) as i am new to this any imput, pitfalls to be weary of, good chemical suppliers etc etc, absolutely anything you can help me with i am and will be eternally grateful. cheers

Jason

 :) Hi Jason,

welcome to the forum.

I can't give much advice to your question as I'm new to this business, however, I think it is always worth having a few strings to your bow.

My husband is an electrician and is hoping to get on a plumbing course this September. He feels he will be able to give more of a complete service.

Good luck, I'm sure someone will give you some advice soon - it's a really friendly forum.

Lisa  ;)

Hi Jason!

Welcome to the forum and apologies for the non-response.

I think you may have hit on a good idea, in offering a second service.....the advantage you have over most of us is that you are already in business and therefore have already got a 'foot in the door' so to speak.

Best bet I would say is just to get out there and ask both exisitng and previous customers what they think of the idea and would it be something they would take advantage of, or even just ask good old Joe Bloggs in the street (or on the phone)

Good luck!

Jan
