There's a first time for EVERYTHING
« on: August 20, 2009, 07:50:56 pm »
We did an Indian Restaurant in Warrington today. And for the first time EVER, the guy didn't quibble about the price, not even the inclusion of VAT. We only quoted for two areas but there were three and he didn't even quibble about the extra charge for that. Nor did he claim we'd do extra work that we had supposedly included (as these guy's often do) and just handed over the money and booked us to do the upstairs restaurant. So it's true, there is a first time for EVERYTHING!!!

Must have. Either that or the notes are fakes ;D

Derek,

Do you cover the Knutsford area, I may have a job for you.
If not, who does?

yes but the wife is being induced tomorrow and i'm pretty busy next week, thats if she doesn't have to have a C section, in which case i'll have to cancel a few jobs, sooner things are back to normal the better, cheers though simon, certainly up for any future ones.

ps... are you sure he wasn't just a very tanned english man trying to pass as an indian. that would probably explain it. ;D

No, I checked that, I wiped his arm with Citrus Gel to see if the tanning lotion came off or not, it didn't.
Some other things were odd too. For instance, there weren't an cockroaches carry the pans across the kitchen floor, which is unusual. And the chef even washed his hands before chopping up the chicken. Mind you, the chicken wasn't happy, he'd forgotten to kill it first ;D

Nah, not me, can't afford it, I'm only a peasant cleaner from Wigan. The nearest we get to a fresh Indian is by sifting through the bins at the back of Tesco's for any out of date Korma's or the odd tandoori chickens ring piece. ;D

Hi Simon

Good for you!

I've two Indian restaurants that just pay what I ask and are completely happy with the work.

Mind you, they are not first timers. Having had some of the usual arguments with them first time around they both went off and got cheaper cleaners.

Now they have realised I am value for money. ;D ;D

Incidentally I have a few clients in Knutsford so I could accommodate you if required. Might depend upon the job and how urgent it is though. Derek is nearer though, so I wouldn't want to really poach on his territory.

Give me a ring if you like.

Roger,
If they come back to us wanting to book i'll give you a call. It was just an email enquiry so may be a price shopper.
