Have you disconnected any piping?
Something similar happens to someone off another forum (which I'm not allowed to mention) but in the end it turned out he had re connected the piping all wrong.

Don't suppose the membranes are still in the wrappers? Or the wrong way round. If the water supply is still there and the valve is open/shut correctly then i'm baffled too.

Is the sediment filter before RO blocked or filter connections not connected properly? Did you run RO disconnected before DI for minimum 2 hours to let it initially flush?

thanks for the replies...weve just put the old membranes back in and the flow is lovely?????

What we noticed was the waste flow restritor was blocked ,causing waste water to "flow back" into system???? so we changed it...does this mean the new membranes are knackered or can they be washed out and re used?

I'm sure the new membranes will be fine if they are re-fitted and allowed to flush for a couple of hours.

Thanks Alex...we fitted the new membranes yesterday and flushed them as per instructions and we were producing water lovely!

The strange thing is after 24 hours we have started to get these problems!!!!!

We only noticed the flow restrictor was blocked after the water slowed to a trickle???

Was just wondering if we have knackered the membranes!

Were ok for water tomorrow , but were relying on the resin a bit too much, do you think give them another flush or maybe wash them out some other way?

Something from the new membranes or some dirt that was disturbed during the membrane exchange must have made its way to the flow restrictor.  As it's only been a short amount of time the membranes should be OK with a couple of hours flushing.

Has anybody had faulty membranes in the past?
