Builders clean block of 30 flats advice
« on: August 17, 2009, 07:54:57 pm »
Been asked to quote for a block of 30 flats [builders clean]

The job sounds a bit of a nightmare,  it has busy roads on 2 sides, with standard size pavements.

4 storeys, I think they mean ground floor + 3,I am going to see it on fri.
Any advice on access, price + the best pole to use.

I know a lot will say dont touch it, but I like something different and did well out of my last builders clean
although Im still waiting for payment for an extra days work I had to do due to careless painters,
have been promised to get it in the next 2 weeks though.
Any advice welcome.
Cheers.

you'll be looking at MEWP for 3-4 storey for a full builders clean, unless the scaffold is still up and you are licensed to use it?

You cant do a builders clean just by pole work - unless they just want a initial first clean after they have removed all builders soilage such as plaster/cement/silicone etc

Put it in writing what you can't remove with wfp and have them sign it so there is no misunderstanding on their part if all they want is the dirt removed, not the cement, paint, etc. If they are looking for a proper builders clean then WFP won't touch it.
