Pre-paying Customers
«

Just wondering. I've been thining of offering a pre-pay discount for people who pay say 2/3 months in advance. This means I have the cash in my hand and can plan accordingly, without the worry of chasing money or risk going unpaid.
I can set up an online page for customers to view their balance, top up online etc etc. Just wondering if anyone else offers their customers the chance to pre-pay, and if you have come accross many issues?

I cannot forsee any domestic customers wanting to pay in advance, especially if they are new customers.
Too many complications; what if you or your cleaners don't arrive for a visit; what if the client needs to cancel; what if you need to part company with the client at a moments notice? The only advantage of doing this is -as you say- that you get money in advance to re-invest, but then you dont need much money in this game to start out any way.

hi there
i dont see many prepaying, unless there is avery good discount offer, however a word of caution, its always better to serve and then take payment, as you wont get tempted into utilising the prepaid money into other directions rather than the wages that will be incurred in month 2 and 3, you might then be chasing your tail with regard to having to win new customers to continue the positive cash flow.
