Micah is a friend of mine and it was thrown down in the driveway. He reuses the same bottle for the next job.

I might be mistaken but don't you have mostly PVC gutter? The one in the vid is aluminum and gets a problem called electrostatic bonding. Even hot wfp won't help on the more embedded stuff.

Whilst the majority of guttering over here is the half-round profile the one in the video is still very common. It's called Ogee profile.

The guttering & downpipe system is aluminium seamless hence the fan shaped creases at the top of the downpipe. Whilst aluminium seamless is not quite so common there is an increasing amount being installed.

Don't know about electrostatic bonding but my parents have it installed in a white colour & it comes up fine with cold wfp.

IMO the yanks cant teach us anything.  We're years ahead of em.  They only just realised that WFP is a good idea lol

And whats this brush-rinse-with-hose, brush-then rinse with hose business?  I often do fascias and gutters (outside of, never inside) with hot water WFP and it works much better and faster than this.  Not to mention is easier than he is doing it!

Silly americans.

Respectfully fellas I have to disagree. I don't believe you are dealing w/ the same types of gutters and staining issues that we see here. I doubt that a hot WFP would take care of the electrostatic bonding stains I run into a lot.
Of course you could always do a video to show me I'm wrong.

He's done the external guttering exactly the same way some Brits do it apart from rinsing with a hose at the end but I'm sure some have done it the same and so long as the customer is happy then I can't see a problem what way its done and the guy's feet are firmly on the ground..

matt, yes WFP may have originated in the USA with tucker etc, but they never emraced it properly or saw its potential.  If you just look at american window cleaner magazine, they are still not convinced about it, and see it as a tool to be used every now and then for the odd awkward window.

More and more wcers over here are using WFP everyday. You need to remember that our cleaning frequency is much less frequent than yours. This makes the frequency of flawed results much higher. I have read a number of post on this site and other UK based forums of wcers sticking w/ trad methods because of poor results (I know this is due to user error or unique window conditions) so it seems there may be more in common than we may want to admit.

it could be because they have to take screens off and they only clean them every 6 months plus, and we all know with first cleans WFP isnt the best
