I saw this coming from miles away, I couldn't see how a simple rubber sleeve with two ribs on the stem could ever hold it in place properly.

Filled up the van, and sure thing, dribble down the tank, saw it too late of course.

Any ideas how to fix this? Would like to get it fixed this weekend.

Silicon sealant possibly from the local DIY store.

I see, bit silly to have to do that though on a £16 floatswitch. I will give purefreedom a call I think on Monday, see what they have to say to that.

By the way, everytime I drive the water sloshes about and the solenoid goes click click because of the floatvalve. Does everyone has that?

When it clicks is it because the current is live to the solenoid?..if that was the case...fit a toggle switch inline.....if not...call them Monday..

Yea it's because it's live, so everytime the slush of water moves the floatswitch it goes click (off). Toggleswitch might be an option. I will have a chat with them on Monday I suppose.

i think they normally wire theirs through a flow master so you can turn it off when not in use instead of the switch being a constant live

just fit a simple on off switch to turn it off when you don't want to use it

Sounds like it yea, will get one from Halfords or something.

Just noticed my carpet in the cabin is soaked from where it was leaking. Great. 

Oh well, it keeps you busy!
