« on: August 14, 2009, 11:28:48 pm »
CHECK YOUR OIL in van tomorrow without fail because mine nearly went bang today coz of lack of oil!!!! :o :o :o :o
I actually put 2 and half litres of oil in wow!! saved the day god knows what damage that might have done, but it seems
as good as new and quieter, probably coz the oil level is ok now don't rely on the computer thing mine said it was ok and it wasent.its only done 32000 miles

if you drive a Vivaro like me or a traffic or primestar  then I would advise you to have your oil in the gearbox changed every few months  as Ive had 2 gearboxes go on me  on an 04 plate

Edd when you get in van and it says OIL OK on dash, press your reset button for mileage and it shows you a digital display of your oil level  ;)

Good tip to check regularly. Don't always rely on the dashboard light/computer. Could end up being quite expensive :)!!!!

There is no gearbox dip. If you loosen the plug all of your oil will p**s out. I've had one of my vans for six years and its never needed a drop of gearbox oil,so my advice is......don't bother!
