The lifetime guarantees on furniture always amuse me , is it the lifetime of the furniture or the buyer ?

In reallity most people don't take up the offer and certainly with furniture the firms go bust, often setting up as another company and all guarantees are invalid.

As for Anthea I think she has been superceded by Dr. Harley !

It always amuses me to see the film footage for sofa adds with kids jumping up and down on the cushions and "boffins" drilling holes into the fabric and the voice over saying 10 years guarantee (or whatever)

Meantime the small print at the foot of the screen states "guarantee only applies to frames"

Mis-directional selling if you ask me.
