« on: August 04, 2009, 01:02:05 pm »
Who wears them when working ?

I have a pair, but there not designed for window cleaning and are on there way out. So I'm after another pair.

What do you wear, how much and where from?

I always wear gloves. I've bought them all, none were any good. Now I just buy suede gardening gloves from homebase.

Ha ha, fine. Once finished for the day, put some anti bac liquid on, rub hands together.

if they work well as you say they're worth the money , can you grip the pole well enough if hands get wet

Carpenter gloves for me - they're gay but match my chaps and handlebar mustache.

Yeah, i have tried lots of different gloves, and these work for me. I had the large ones before, but when your hands get a bit sweaty they don't fit snug, so changed over to the medium ones, much better. They also help when the SL pole gets a little stuck, more grip.  :)

they were great when doubled up with some latex gloves underneath.

i suppose they are similar to the gul ones gardiners sell?

buy the ultra tough ones, I bought the first ones last year and they did wear a bit, but they lasted the winter. I only wear gloves in the winter, and have tried a good few and these are the best of a bad bunch. One thing I would say is if you are trad and wearing these, dont run your hands down the rail as you descend, instead use a the rungs. They wont wear that much if you stick to that.

Water proof as well but that does tend to go after a bit, but still keeps your hands warm and dry.

try these sperian assembly gloves...ideal for the summer water proof on the palm side.... thin enough to go inside a thicker pair of rubber gloves for the winter.
believe me i have tried the lot.
