Carpet,

If you really want to be chemical free then you would just use hot water (yes,I know water is a chemical ;)).

Otherwise you would need an in tank detergent and pre spray or if using MS pre spray and fresh water rinse.

It is possible to get good results using just hot water on a lightly soiled carpet but chemicals are usually  needed.

Cheers,

Would ionised water work on carpets or woven fabric.

De- ionised water is unlikely to work on carpets you need soil suspending agents and some detergent to emulsify the greases that are present in the carpet fibres from pets, shedding skin, exhaust fumes etc.

Pro-chem is about the most comprehensive range of additives and and detergents on the market.
