It is not yet banned, neither for sale or use.
It is unsafe to pets, people etc. during application which is why care must be taken.
It does stay in the ground for a good while, that's the point surely, especially when preventing weed growth between blocks etc.
I am on the look out for a good quality replacement, as I am sure we all are. As yet I am advised (by an associate and owner of a very large and successful landscaping company) to continue to use whilst available as nothing performs anywhere near as well. He has tried several alternatives but describes them mostly in four letter words.
Not spoiling for an argument as I always respect your opinion but on this one your statement that it is already banned in incorrect.
