Chlorine & Chloramine

Different areas have different additives in their tap water, either chlorine or chloramine.
Do they both damage your membrane? I know chlorine does, so does a carbon filter remove both chemicals.
And where do I get a testing kit that tests for both. I have a test for the chlorine but it is the same reading (zero) for my tap water and my finished water, so I presume my water has chloromine in it.

You should have a carbon block filter before your RO to get rid of chlorine. Chloramine is the new chlorine for water companys as it goes on acting longer through the pipeline & into your glass of water. Which means more birth defects & cancer for you & your family. Happy days
Any pool place will sell chlorine testing kits for around a tenner.
