Two men teams
« on: July 29, 2009, 04:23:49 pm »
I still do some houses trad.

Just wondering what would you say is best with two men working??

two lads on one house? one doing top windows and another bottoms.

or one cleaner for each house if close together? split when you get out the van and one does say no 4 and the other number 8 like that?

Thanks
Dave.

i always used to do 1 top and one bottom.

The more experienced at the top and the less at the bottom.

Once the guys at the top finished he would then knock, or leave payment slip.

That way you only need one big and one small point ladder.

Same here, but if both know what they are doing, in a very compact round then 2 can work on different houses in the same street, then you don't get in eachothers way. It's trial and error really.

Thanks for the replys.

alot of people saying one at the front one at the back, i thought one per house would be faster as it cuts down alot of time.

if it takes 20 mins for one man to clean a 3 bed semi then two people doing one house in 20 - 25 mins is cutting some time. I understand the other person would not be as fast as me maybe and so on.

I might try the front/back way then.

I did the other - i did the top and he did the bottom that way when i timed us we did the house in the same amount of time - we just did the front (In half the time)then jumped on the backs and that was it

Plus its extra company

One back and one on the front, and meet round the sides !

Work together on the same house,

Either with 2 ladders or 1 top 1 bottom,

Best to stick together for footing dodgy climbs,

Even better go wfp and have 1 wfping the tops and 1 trading the bottoms,

Ive been thinking about this also but wfp only, if your charging £20 and your currently doing it in 25 mins on your own then 2 of you turn up and do it in 10mins, dont people get funny paying £20.00 for 10 mins  work(in there eyes) although we all know its the same, i already get comments now of 'thats quick'
