did anyone noticed a difference in diameter for the 8mm black pole hose that Alex is selling ?i ordered one recently and it's rather thinner than the old one which makes a big difference .i mean i can't fit the flow control anymore as it's thinner and comes lose.or maybe they put the 6mm tubing instead of the 8mm but checked the packing and on that foil that was wrapped it's says MH5/8BLK30M.anyway i might just give them a call in the morning.i was just wondering if anyone noticed any difference.thanks

Fits the push fit valves ok haven't tried it on the gas tap valves I used to use. Find it's too soft to use between the microbore and the valve - doesn't take the pressure very well in hot weather.

I have noticed this myself.  The size is ostensibly the same but the problem only shows up when fitting the push fit flow valves.  It's as if the surface of the hose is slightly shinier than previous versions and won't allow the flow valve to grip as well.  The clear hose, which is the same size, seems to be unaffected.  I think I may have to give them a ring and talk to them tomorrow.

any chance to swap it for a clear one ,Alex?as i would rather put the valve control on the polethe only problem is i managed to cut a few meters from the 30m role and realised  the problem after that.
