you pay for membership, £500 to join and then approx £8 per week, you have to turn up every week or send a someone on your behalf.

so you looking at about £1000 a year.

You do get work from it, but only if your in the line of trade someone going to need in that chapter or they can recommend you (basically nothing is guaranteed, so make of it what you will), but you also have to be active at getting others work too.

Ask to go for a trial meting see what its like and chat with the members.

(ive not joined myself, but i had convo's about it with someone that has)

alwqys getting invites to this, last one 2 weeks ago, and after having a long conversation with the bloke its what GWCS says, you pay a membership a year plus £8 every Friday for the brekkie, and if you dont go you have to phone companys to get someone to take your place which is one commitment I didnt want to make, but give it a go its not for us all.

My sis in law is Assistant director of BNI Ireland and she is always on at me to join as she reckons it would be so good for my business. Everyone has to bring business for someone else in the group and she reckons it would be alot easier for people to find work for window cleaners, therefore each week you should get a few leads!
I live in the UK so my sis in law would have nothing to gain by getting me to sign up but anyway she has only my best interests at heart.
I havent joined myself as I am a one man band and cant take on any more work as books are so full but once the recession is  out of the way I will employ and concentrate on building up the commericial side of the biz. BNI here I come!!!

I was a member  at bni for 2 years. The thing about bni is that you have to give to gain. You cant just goin and think the other members are going to just give you work without you looking for work for them. I hung around for 2  years hoping to get that big contract but it never happened and i did get work for other members. You also have to go every week and if you cant go you need to get your wife etc to go for you(they are very strict and if you miss about 3 meetings in 6 months they can kick you out!and they will not refund your money) I dont think it is worth it as you have to get up early once a week and miss a mornings work and as a window cleaner you can get the same return for the money you spend leafletting .
