Can anyone say what they would price for the following, this is all I know up to now,
 
price to clean housing association voids, some are pretty bad, spec to include, 
 
clean bathroom, kitchen ,windows inside, window ledges, internal wood work, 3 property types............
current contractor 
 
2 bed flat  .........5 man hours
 
2 bed house...........8 man hours
 
 
3 bed house............10 man hours

Are these hours mentioned an estimate of how long it will take you to clean? Is it this you want clarified or just a price per hour?

At the end of the day you can price this job

a) very competitively if you want to get the job and further work from these people. Remembering that the cheapest isn't always the best and they may hold the same opinion (although I haven't provided work for housing associations)

b) For a price that you feel is the minimum you would undertake this job for.

The bottom line is that you need to work out a feasible hourly rate which allows a reasonable hourly profit after you have allowed for cleaning materials, equipment, staff wages, insurance, transport etc., I am in the South East and would not take on this work for less than £16.00 per hour. But your circumstances may be different. i.e. if you are a one man band then your hourly profit margin is going to be considerably higher so you could charge less per hour.

Hi Jason

I agree with what Maggie has said.....However, the hours that you have given i would say are not high enough.....especially if they are in a bad condition! You may find that you have just spent 2 hours getting the kitchen cleaned up...and in a 2 bed flat, you have only 3 hours left to clean the rest of the mess including the windows etc etc.
If you can give them and hourly rate then good, but i feel the housing association will ask for a job rate. So just work it out how long it will take you and add an hour or two ontop!
