Rain?
« on: July 22, 2009, 04:32:13 am »
Just got back from a job to have lunch and popping out out again to another, it's belting down with rain.
Just wondered, how do you chaps in England clean carpets in these sort of crap conditions, does my head in >:(,everything is wet and slippery and dirty. It must be bloody hard there in winter.

My hats off to you.

Plenty of dust sheets warning signs and a neatly converted BBQ cover for my machine - sometimes clip a weather proof sheet (made from left over BBQ cover) to outside doorframe using quick release joiners hand vices...

Rain -No problem, we just get wet, we are used to it. Truck Mount machine nice and happy in the van. Its front does get a bit wet and the outside hoses, but these are run through a towel when rewinding them onto the electric driven hose reel. Gives them a clean anyway. Some years we seem to get more rain in the summer than winter. What I think is worst is like just a couple of weeks ago, when it gets hot and very humid, the sweat just rolls down you.

I thought we were the 'whingers'. Not the Aussies, I only thought they would have moaned about the lack of rain at Lords.

Well someone had to say it!
